The Bathurst Region Farmer’s Market was launched in the Spring of 2002 as an initiative of Central Ranges Food and Wine and at a local level managed by Bathurst Region Eats and Drinks (Bre&d).
From 2011 the Bathurst Farmer's Markets are under the new management of the Lions Club of Bathurst Inc.
The fourth Saturday of each month at the
Bathurst Showground.
The Bathurst Region Farmer’s Market offers the community the opportunity to purchase food, plants and value-added produce directly from the grower/maker. Community awareness of product content of food is increasing at a phenomenal rate. More consumers now wish to know the provenance of their food and gardeners wish to grow plants that are suited to their climate and lifestyle.
Providores sell everything the region has to offer, from fresh meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables and plants. Local producers enjoy the opportunity to interact directly with the consumer as well as by-passing the supermarket chains, gaining a fair price for their products.
If any producer wishes to join the Market, kindly contact The Manager on 0420 669 701
