Ben Chifley Dam is 19 km south-east of Bathurst via The Lagoon. Power boating, sailing and good fishing can all be enjoyed but no swimming is allowed.
There are barbecue and picnic facilities.
It is Bathurst's main water supply so the area is under the control of a Council Ranger and certain regulations relating to boating must be observed. Camping is not permitted at this stage.
Nearby, Rockley is set off the main roads and is another charming 19th century historic village with many beautiful buildings still remaining
