The Bathurst Royal Show - the largest argiculture show in regional New South Wales. The Royal Bathurst Show events combine to offer the consummate country show experience.

29 th March, 2009 - The Annual Highland Gathering & Fete - The Scots School, Kelso
The annual Highland Gathering combines all the fun of a school fair with all things Scottish. Pipe Bands from all over NSW take part in a program of music and marching together with a competition of Highland Dancing. Add to this- great food, a variety of stalls, rides for all ages, sports events and parachute jumps. It’s not to be missed. $5 per vehicle.
Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival - 18th - 28th March 2009
The Bathurst Cold Crown Carnival is an annual event of the harness racing industry calendar, attracting owners, trainers, horses and drivers from Australia and New Zealand. This year’s carnival shall cover 10 days of racing and social activities.

“B2B” Blayney to Bathurst is a participation charity event run by Cycling Australia. The event covers a short track of 56km and long one of 110km with certificates and awards for all finishers.

Kowmung Music Festival - 14th - 16th March 2008 - in the Oberon high country.
Note: The Kowmung Music Festival will not occur in 2009.
The 2008 festival will be staged over a single weekend. The festival’s director, Rohan Smith, has selected a superb program for each of the three concerts. Many of the great composers will be represented, among them Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Stravinsky, Strauss and Shostakovich.

Participants run either 10km or 21.1km. Serious runners will enjoy the opportunity to post a personal best time on a course that is rated flat and fast.

The Australian Hillclimb Championship at the Esses hillclimb, Conrod Straight, Mt Panorama.
Competition commences at 9am on each day and visitors can view the vehicles and watch the event from McPhillamy Park on Skyline. Entry is a gold coin donation which goes to Kidney Health Australia.
